Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions about pickleball paddles, gear and orders.
-
Skill level, playing style, weight, grip size and the paddle’s core material all matter. For beginners we recommend a lighter paddle with a wide sweet spot that forgives off-center hits. Advanced players will appreciate models emphasising precision and spin.
-
A light paddle (~200–220 g) offers better control, faster reactions and less wrist strain. A heavier one (230 g+) gives more power and depth. Try both — the right pick depends on your style.
-
The Ikigai Siida is designed to be beginner-friendly: wide sweet spot, soft feel and great forgiveness. For more experienced players we recommend the Aero V2 with sharper spin and control.
-
A quality carbon or fibreglass paddle lasts several years in normal use. Consumers have a statutory 14-day cancellation right. See the returns page for the conditions.
-
Grip size is measured by circumference: small (10.8–11.4 cm), medium (11.4–12.1 cm), large (12.1+ cm). The right size improves control and reduces wrist strain.
-
Carbon offers precision, a better feel and longer life. Fibreglass is more flexible, produces more power and is usually more affordable.
-
All Ikigai paddles meet USA Pickleball (USAPA) approval and are certified for competition in North America and Europe.
